The Commercial Arbitration Centre is supporting JAMS Pathways in delivering the advanced intensive executive program “Before It Is Too Late: Negotiation Judgment Under Pressure”, which will take place on September 22, 2026 at the Grand Hall of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This initiative is aimed at executives, business leaders, legal counsel, and other professionals involved in dispute management and resolution. It is an advanced, highly interactive program that tests negotiation judgment under pressure, across different cultural contexts, and in the face of the growing integration of artificial intelligence into negotiation processes.

The programme will bring together a panel of internationally renowned experts whose experience combines high-stakes negotiations, complex commercial transactions, and international disputes. Confirmed speakers include Jack Cambria, former Commanding Officer of the NYPD Hostage Negotiation Team; Giuseppe De Palo, Negotiation Process Designer and Mediator at JAMS; Josh Weiss, Co-Founder of the Global Negotiation Initiative at Harvard University; and Mariana França Gouveia, President of the Commercial Arbitration Centre, Full Professor at NOVA School of Law, and Partner at Vieira de Almeida. The programme will also feature Thomas Gaultier, international mediator, lawyer, and Co-Founder of ICFML, serving as Senior Programme Advisor.

The program will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., followed by a closing cocktail reception until 6:30 p.m. The training will be conducted in English.

Detailed programme information and registration details will be announced in due course.
