The Commercial Arbitration Center of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry supports the promotion of the course “The Role of Lawyers in Mediation”, organised by NOVA School of Law as part of its Executive Education Programme.
Coordinated by Joana Campos Carvalho and Mariana Soares David, this course is designed for lawyers and in-house counsel, offering a practical and strategic introduction to civil and commercial mediation. It is an opportunity to rethink the role of legal professionals and explore different solutions for dispute resolution.
Dates: 21 January 2026 to 20 March 2026
Duration: 17 hours – 8 weekly online sessions
Schedule: Wednesdays, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the following exceptions:
14 January 2026: 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
11 February 2026: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., followed by 45 minutes of optional networking
25 February 2026: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Optional in-person session: Friday, 20 March 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at NOVA School of Law.
